Letter in a print

Fingerprints gave a wider perspective in visual communication of my brief. The lines that form in a fingerprint gave a pathway to amalgamate a letterform in each fingerprint. The first letterform chosen was 'Shri' by R.K.Joshi, which was calligraphically expressed.

Here are a few trials.
Whorl Firngerprint type was chosen as it matched best with the letterform. At first the letter 'shree' was written over the lines of the fingerprint on a tracing sheet (gateway paper). But the implementation of it looked deliberate, and not as appealing as thought.

Finally, after the trials I got a clue of how to incorporate 'shree' in the fingerprint. Simple lines were used, on the boundaries of the lines of the fingerprints, with 'shree' in the middle. The letterform would be darker than the outside lines to highlight it better.
